EssilorLuxottica said revenue from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses more than tripled in the first half of 2025, highlighting accelerating consumer demand for its AI-enabled eyewear developed with Meta Platforms. The surge helped lift the Franco-Italian group’s total sales to €14.02 billion (US$16.25 billion), a 7.3% year-over-year increase that exceeded analyst expectations. Chief Executive Officer Francesco Milleri and Deputy CEO Paul du Saillant said the company is “leading the transformation of glasses as the next computing platform,” and predicted “a very fast ramp-up” for the Oakley Meta Performance AI glasses introduced in June. EssilorLuxottica, which renewed a multi-year collaboration with Meta last September, also signaled further products, including a planned Prada-branded model, as it broadens its smart-wearable portfolio.
