Galaxy Digital returned to profitability in the second quarter, posting net income of $30.7 million, or $0.08 a diluted share, after a $295 million loss three months earlier. Revenue and gains from operations reached roughly $9.06 billion, yet the earnings per-share figure fell short of analyst expectations that ranged from $0.10 to $0.23, sending the stock lower in early trading. Adjusted EBITDA rebounded to $211 million from a negative $290 million in the prior quarter as higher digital-asset prices lifted trading and treasury results. The firm, led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Novogratz, continued to build out its artificial-intelligence infrastructure. A new land purchase adjacent to its Helios campus in Texas will lift potential power capacity to 3.5 gigawatts, while partner CoreWeave has now taken the full 800-megawatt lease that could generate about $1.2 billion of annual revenue once deliveries begin in 2026. Galaxy also disclosed it holds 17,102 bitcoin following second-quarter purchases and is exploring on-chain tokenisation of its own shares through Superstate’s real-world-asset platform. Separately, Apollo Global Management reported a 4% pre-market rise after second-quarter adjusted earnings climbed to $1.92 a share, topping the $1.84 consensus. Assets under management hit a record $840 billion on $61 billion of net inflows, helping fee-related earnings reach $627 million. Management said the firm is on pace to hit the upper end of its 15%–20% fee-growth target for 2025 and declared a $0.51 quarterly dividend.
