Humana Inc. reported second-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings of $6.27 a share on revenue of $32.39 billion, topping Wall Street’s revenue expectations while landing slightly below consensus for profit. GAAP net income came in at $741 million, or $4.51 a share, and the insurer’s benefit ratio held at 89.9%, matching management’s target for controlling medical costs. On the back of the stronger revenue and stable costs, the Louisville-based company raised its full-year adjusted earnings outlook to about $17 a share from roughly $16.25 and said sales should reach at least $128 billion, up from a prior range of $126 billion to $128 billion. Humana also trimmed its projected decline in individual Medicare Advantage membership to no more than 500,000 members and highlighted continued expansion of its CenterWell primary-care and pharmacy units. The shares climbed as much as 8% in pre-market trading.
