Nvidia Corp. ($NVDA) has announced that during the initial ramp-up of its Blackwell GPU, gross margins are expected to moderate to the low 70% range. However, once Blackwell reaches full production, Nvidia anticipates gross margins to return to the mid-70% range. This was stated by Nvidia's CFO during an earnings call, where the company also mentioned being on track to exceed previous Blackwell revenue estimates.
$NVDA CFO: "As Blackwell ramps, we expect gross margins to moderate to the low 70s. When fully ramped, we expect Blackwell margins to be in the mid-70s." https://t.co/lKl6FZiyVM
$NVDA gross margin is at 75%, compared to $AMD at 54% and $INTC at around 40%. https://t.co/OhsUZTHFdv
$NVDA blessed GMs should be lower seq in the April Q as BW mixes up (makes sense)- said under pressure early part of ramp, then target is mid 70s thereafter- not much of a surprise really
