A Bay Area man from Concord, who once professionally assisted people with security, became the victim of a scam, losing his life savings. On top of this, he anticipates owing more than $30,000 in taxes as a result of the scam. Concord Police Department has indicated that drivers from ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft may have unknowingly participated as couriers in the scam.
