
Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive, will remain in custody in Nigeria until at least May 17, following a decision by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged the court to deny Gambaryan's bail application, citing risks associated with his release amidst his ongoing money laundering trial. The bail hearing, initially set for an earlier date, has been postponed to May 17. Gambaryan's legal representation has argued that his detention amounts to 'state-sanctioned hostage-taking.'
