Cate Blanchett, the acclaimed actress known for her role in 'Tar', is set to star in an upcoming alien invasion comedy titled 'Alpha Gang', directed by 'Sasquatch Sunset' filmmakers David and Nathan Zellner. The film, which marks another collaboration between Blanchett and the Zellner brothers, will be introduced to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival by CAA Media Finance and MK2 Films. Additionally, Blanchett is being honored with the 2024 Donostia Career Achievement Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival, making her the second Australian to receive this prestigious accolade. Blanchett was also recently included among 709 new members of the European Film Academy.
