
A series of criminal activities in Chicago has led to multiple arrests and charges. A North Side man faces charges for burglarizing five apartment and condo buildings in Lakeview and Lincoln Park, with the incidents captured on video. Another individual is charged with stealing $210,000 worth of merchandise from a store near Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Additionally, a man has been sentenced to over eleven years in federal prison for carjacking four vehicles and robbing a UPS truck. In a related case, three men were sentenced for a string of robberies and carjackings in August 2020, including an incident where a UPS driver was assaulted. Prosecutors also revealed that the thieves posed as a charitable group to rob people on the Mag Mile.
