Owens, who received a $500,000 contribution from a George Soros-backed PAC for his 2019 DA race, is known for leading the prosecution in the state's $77 million welfare scandal. The FBI has not disclosed the reason behind the raids, which included executing federal search warrants at multiple locations. FBI Public Information Officer Marshay Lawson confirmed the execution of the search warrants. Owens has not responded to requests for comment.
