A Fulton County Superior Court judge, Scott McAfee, has dismissed six of the 41 charges in the election interference indictment against Donald Trump and several of his co-defendants, while other charges remain. The dismissed charges include three against the former president himself. Despite the dismissal of these counts, Trump still faces more than half a dozen counts in the case. McAfee ruled that the allegations in the indictments, particularly those attempting to get Georgia officials to violate their oaths, were not detailed enough. However, the bulk of the indictment remains intact, and the prosecution could seek a new indictment on the dismissed charges.
