Jasveen Sangha, the Los Angeles drug dealer dubbed the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges for supplying the dose that killed “Friends” star Matthew Perry, the U.S. Department of Justice said Monday. The 42-year-old dual U.S.–British citizen will admit to maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution resulting in death. She faces a statutory maximum of 65 years in prison, with formal entry of the plea expected in the coming weeks. Prosecutors say Sangha ran a narcotics “stash house” in North Hollywood that handled ketamine and other drugs. According to the plea agreement, she supplied 51 vials of ketamine to intermediary Erik Fleming, who in turn sold them to Perry through the actor’s personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. Iwamasa injected Perry with at least three doses on 28 October 2023; the 54-year-old actor lost consciousness and drowned in his hot tub. A Los Angeles medical examiner attributed the death to acute effects of ketamine. Sangha is the last of five defendants in the case to reach a deal. Fleming and Iwamasa, along with physicians Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, pleaded guilty earlier to related ketamine distribution counts and await sentencing. Investigators who raided Sangha’s home in March 2023 recovered 79 vials of liquid ketamine, 1.7 kilograms of methamphetamine pills, MDMA tablets, counterfeit Xanax and cash. Sangha also admitted selling ketamine that led to a separate fatal overdose in 2019. Court filings say Sangha attempted to erase encrypted messages with Fleming after news broke of Perry’s death. Her trial had been scheduled to begin in September; the plea agreement spares her a jury proceeding and closes the federal case tied to one of Hollywood’s most high-profile overdose investigations.
