New Hampshire authorities are investigating the deaths of four people discovered late Monday inside a residence on Moharimet Drive in Madbury, a town two miles north of the University of New Hampshire. The bodies were found after local police responded to the home and requested assistance from state agencies. Attorney General John M. Formella said the deaths are being treated as suspicious. He was joined in a joint statement by State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall and Madbury Police Chief Joseph McGann, who advised residents to expect a significant law-enforcement presence in the neighborhood for several hours while investigators collect evidence. Officials stressed that there is no known threat to the wider public. The identities of the victims, their relationship to the property and the circumstances of their deaths have not been released. Autopsies are pending, and Formella’s office said additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.
