A group of seven Somali immigrants has been charged with stealing $41 million from government programs intended to feed hungry children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they allegedly set up a fraudulent scheme to obtain more than $240 million through a federally-funded child nutrition program. Additionally, one of the defendants attempted to bribe a juror with $120,000 to secure a 'not guilty' verdict in a $250 million pandemic fraud case. This case is part of the largest fraud in Arizona history, where scammers took billions in taxpayer money.
