State Privacy Law enforcement and compliance activities in 2024 are intensifying with no signs of slowing down, as indicated by major activity spikes in various sectors such as healthcare, accounting, and auditing. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reported record-high numbers of settlements, judgments, and civil investigative demands in FY 2023, particularly focusing on healthcare. The DOJ has also highlighted the significance of PPP and pandemic fraud recoveries in FY 2023.
