Chainlink has announced the launch of Transporter, a new bridging application designed to facilitate the secure and efficient transfer of tokens across different blockchain networks. Developed in association with the Chainlink Foundation and supported by Chainlink Labs, Transporter is built on the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and aims to simplify the cross-chain experience for users. The application supports transfers between major Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, including Ethereum, Optimism, and Base, among others. Since its inception, CCIP has generated significant revenue, with reports indicating approximately $422,000 in 2024 alone, and $308,500 in fee revenue over just six weeks. This launch marks Chainlink's entry into retail user-facing products, emphasizing security and reliability for high-value token transfers.

#Chainlink CCIP now supports the cross-chain transfer of native ETH, starting with support for @ethereum, @arbitrum, and @Optimism. Alongside this upgrade, a new pricing model has also been introduced to accelerate the growth of the cross-chain economy. https://t.co/YVrO4gps1z
