The Layer-3 blockchain Degen Chain, built by Syndicate using Arbitrum Orbit and invested in by a16z, experienced a significant outage. The network stopped producing blocks for more than 42 hours following a custom configuration change. This change, implemented by Conduit, also impacted Proof of Play's Apex L3. The outage led to a 500,000 block reorganization. Conduit and Offchain Labs are working with the affected teams to restore normal operations. Degen Chain, which operates on the Base network and uses the Gas token DEGEN, is now back online and resyncing from genesis. A full postmortem analysis is expected soon.

Conduit said that Degen Chain is back online, users can submit transactions using public RPC, and the block explorer is still indexing. Degen Chain was down for more than two days this time. Conduit said it will release a full analysis of the incident in the coming days.… https://t.co/qowsdzMgQV
