Hong Kong-based Ordz Games has unveiled BitBoy, a translucent handheld retro gaming device reminiscent of a Game Boy, which allows players to earn Bitcoin while playing on a blockchain network. The BitBoyOne, described as the first GameFi and DEPIN gaming device, plays Bitcoin-based and classic emulated games, doubles as a hardware wallet, and can farm airdrops from DePIN networks. Additionally, Ordz Games launched a game builder for fully on-chain, offline playable side-scroller games under the Web3Gaming initiative, enabling users to build their own games and inscribe them on the Bitcoin blockchain. In a parallel development, SUI has announced its own gaming handheld device, the SUIPlay 0X1, described as the first native handheld gaming console with full web3 native infrastructure. This device, a collaboration between Mysten Labs and PLAYTR0N, supports both Web2 and Web3 games, including SUI and Microsoft Games, and features deep Sui integration, token incentives, full ownership embedded, zk login, and royalty enforcement.
