The SEC is expected to approve spot Ethereum ETF registration statements in the next few weeks, with a maximum timeline of 2-3 months. The Volatility Shares 2x Ether Strategy ETF (ETHU) will be the first leveraged Ether ETF available in the U.S., starting trading on June 4. A leveraged Ethereum futures ETF will debut on CBOE before spot ETFs launch, possibly by the end of June or July 4th.
