Audrey Hepburn Celebrated on 95th Birthday; Peck Predicted Her Oscar Win

Audrey Hepburn, born on May 4, 1929, is being celebrated on what would have been her 95th birthday. Known for her iconic roles in films such as 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and 'My Fair Lady,' Hepburn's influence extends beyond the screen. She was also the 29th recipient of the SAG Life Achievement Award. Her legacy is remembered for her elegance, acting prowess, and humanitarian efforts, including her work with UNICEF and involvement in the Dutch Resistance during WWII. Gregory Peck, her co-star in 'Roman Holiday,' famously insisted on sharing top billing with her, predicting, 'If I don't, I'm gonna make a fool outta myself 'cuz this girl's gonna win the Oscar.' And she did.

1 of my first fave classic film stars, there's so much to love about Audrey Hepburn (botd), but even more than her tremendous talent as an actress, the thing I've always admired most is her big heart, from her WWII volunteerism involving the Dutch Resistance to her work w/ UNICEF https://t.co/koJPDhA7r4
