Circle has announced the official launch of its native USDC on the Sui Network, a layer-1 blockchain designed for scalability, speed, and affordability. This integration marks the first use of the Move programming language to support native USDC. The addition of USDC to the Sui ecosystem is expected to enhance liquidity and streamline transactions. Scallop, a platform supporting this integration, has introduced an incentive program offering up to 2604.81% APR for borrowing native USDC, along with 220K SCA rewards for holding veSCA tokens. The launch is seen as a significant step in unlocking new possibilities for decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and other innovative use cases.
