In a separate incident, two former University of Michigan student-athletes have initiated a class action lawsuit against former offensive coordinator Matthew Weiss. The lawsuit stems from allegations that Weiss illegally accessed and downloaded private information of thousands of student-athletes. Weiss is also accused of hacking into medical systems to obtain sensitive data about female athletes, which he allegedly used to access their social media and cloud storage accounts, retrieving intimate photos and videos. This hacking case has prompted multiple lawsuits from both former and current Michigan athletes against Weiss.
