Attorneys who reached a $490 million securities class action settlement with Apple are seeking $122.5 million in legal fees. The lawyers, from Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd and Labaton Keller Sucharow, argue that the risks they took justify the substantial fee request. The fee amounts to approximately $3,100 an hour for the 65 lawyers and staffers who collectively devoted 39,500 hours to the case. The request has been submitted to a federal judge in California for approval.
