Coinbase has narrowed the scope of its subpoena targeting Gary Gensler, the Chair of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Initially, the subpoena sought Gensler’s communications dating back to 2017. However, after concerns were raised by Judge Failla, Coinbase has amended the subpoena to focus solely on Gensler’s emails and communications during his tenure as SEC Chair. The revised subpoena aims to streamline the legal process between Coinbase and the SEC. Coinbase's brief is due by July 23 in the New York federal court.
