FCC Proposes New Rules for AI-Generated Calls and Texts https://t.co/L6kVtLtDbY | by @wileyrein

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced a proposal on Tuesday to require robocallers to disclose their use of artificial intelligence (AI) to call recipients. The proposal, which will be voted on next month, aims to enhance transparency and consumer protection by mandating that AI-generated calls disclose their nature both when obtaining prior express written consent and during each call. Additionally, the FCC chair is considering broader regulations to define what constitutes an AI-generated call and to develop AI tools to filter out robocalls as part of efforts to combat phone scams. The FCC also looks to tighten rules on AI-generated robocalls.
