A former top executive at Discover Financial Services, Diane Offereins, has filed a gender and age discrimination lawsuit against the company. Offereins alleges that Discover wrongly clawed back over $7 million in compensation and used her as a scapegoat to appease regulators ahead of its $35 billion merger with Capital One. Offereins, who led Discover's payments network until last year, claims the company withheld her earned equity awards amid an ongoing credit card misclassification investigation.
