
Foxconn, the electronics assembly giant, has announced plans to invest NT$26.87 billion (approximately US$842 million) in its subsidiaries across the US, Mexico, India, and Europe to enhance AI server and smartphone assembly capacities. This investment includes US$253 million allocated for the United States. In addition, Foxconn has recently infused Rs 1,200 crore (around US$144 million) into its Karnataka-based subsidiary, Foxconn Hon Hai Technology India Mega Development Pvt Ltd. Meanwhile, AMD plans to invest NT$8.64 billion (US$270 million) to establish research and development centers in Tainan and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, supported by NT$3.31 billion from the Taiwan government. A semiconductor company has also acquired a building in Mesa, Arizona, with plans for a $50 million investment.
