Russell, who is the sixth person sentenced in this scheme, began her fraudulent activities in October 2009 in New York City. She demanded money from her victims, claiming that bad things would happen to them and their families if they did not comply. Additionally, Russell is facing five years in a California state prison and millions in restitution for masterminding an $8 million organized retail theft ring that targeted major retailers like Sephora and Ulta Beauty.
