Hyatt is nearing a deal to acquire boutique hotel operator Standard International. The hotel giant has been actively expanding its portfolio, having doubled the number of luxury rooms and tripled the tally of resort rooms since 2017. Hyatt is in advanced talks to buy Standard Hotels as part of its broader strategy to increase its footprint in the luxury and boutique hotel market.
