A federal judge has ruled that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has likely been illegally deleting emails from lower-level employees, violating federal record-keeping laws. The judge has approved a preliminary injunction to halt this practice. Additionally, a court has ordered the National Archives and Attorney General Merrick Garland to recover these illegally deleted records.
