Paramount, Charter Extend Talks to Prevent CBS, MTV Blackout

Paramount Global and Charter Communications have agreed to extend their contract renewal discussions, averting a potential blackout of networks such as CBS, Comedy Central, and MTV on Charter's cable systems. The current agreement was set to expire, but the extension will allow both parties more time to finalize terms. The negotiations are still ongoing concerning the pricing, which remains undecided, and the inclusion of ad-supported Paramount+ for Spectrum subscribers at no additional cost. Some smaller channels may be dropped as part of the new agreement.
