
US jobless claims for the week ending April 27 remained at 208,000, slightly below the consensus forecast of 211,000. In contrast, non-farm payrolls for April came in at 175,000, lower than the expected 238,000 and the previous 315,000. Average hourly earnings also fell slightly below expectations.
