EU Leaders Hold Tuesday Video Summit to Review Washington Talks on Ukraine

European Council President Antonio Costa has convened a video conference of the bloc’s 27 heads of state or government for Tuesday at 13:00 CEST. The virtual meeting will debrief leaders on discussions held earlier in Washington, D.C., that focused on the war in Ukraine and the trans-Atlantic response. Costa said the European Union and the United States will continue working together to secure “a lasting peace that safeguards Ukraine’s and Europe’s security interests,” underscoring ongoing coordination on military, financial and reconstruction support for Kyiv.
