U.S. President Donald Trump said in a series of posts on his Truth Social platform that he will host an unusually large group of European leaders at the White House on Friday. “Never had so many European leaders at one time,” he wrote, calling the forthcoming gathering a “great honor for America.” Trump offered no details on the guest list or agenda, and the White House had not issued a formal schedule or statement as of early Tuesday. He also pre-emptively criticized what he called “Fake News” coverage that might portray the meeting as a setback for his administration. European governments have yet to confirm who will attend. If confirmed, the meeting would represent one of the most extensive in-person U.S.–Europe engagements of Trump’s second term.
