
The U.S. stock markets concluded Q3 on a positive note with the Dow Jones Industrial Average seeing slight gains, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted solid increases of 5.5% and 2.6% respectively. This marks the longest quarterly winning streak for the S&P 500 since 2021, with five consecutive months of gains. In Europe, the markets showed mixed results. Germany's DAX was up 0.5%, while the Euro Stoxx 600 and France's CAC 40 saw minor fluctuations. The FTSE 100 was up 0.1%. European oil and gas stocks rose by 1.2% in line with higher crude prices. However, European bank stocks experienced a significant drop of 2%, marking their biggest daily decline in eight weeks. Spain's IBEX was down 1.8%. As of October 2, U.S. stock index futures showed slight losses, but the Nasdaq, S&P 500, and Dow managed to post gains of 0.34%, 0.14%, and 0.13% respectively.
