Nokia reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024, surpassing market expectations. The Finnish telecommunications company achieved net sales of €5.98 billion, a 10% increase year-over-year, and an adjusted operating profit of €1.14 billion, up 38% compared to the same period in 2023. Analysts had estimated net sales of €5.74 billion and operating profit of €962.1 million. For the full year, Nokia's net profit nearly doubled to €1.277 billion, compared to €665 million in 2023, despite a 9% decline in annual net sales to €19.22 billion. The company attributed its Q4 performance to a recovery in demand from communication service providers, particularly in North America. Nokia's network infrastructure segment saw strong contributions across all units. The company reported a comparable operating margin of 19.1% in Q4 and highlighted strong free cash flow performance. Nokia maintained its full-year dividend at €0.14 per share and forecasted adjusted operating profit for 2025 in the range of €1.9 billion to €2.4 billion. Shares rose 7.7% pre-market as the company noted stabilization in its mobile business.
