Chainlink, SWIFT, and UBS Asset Management have successfully completed a pilot project aimed at integrating tokenized assets with traditional payment systems as part of the Monetary Authority of Singapore's (MAS) Project Guardian. This initiative allows for the settlement of tokenized fund subscriptions and redemptions using existing SWIFT payment infrastructure, which connects to over 11,500 financial institutions worldwide. The pilot demonstrates a pathway for seamless interaction between blockchain technology and established finance, potentially paving the way for broader adoption of digital assets in mainstream financial transactions. The announcement was made during the Singapore FinTech Festival, where Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov highlighted the significance of this project in bridging digital and traditional finance.
