The Mission French Tech announced the 2025 promotion of its Next40/120 program on June 4, 2025, selecting 120 French scaleups, including 40 strategic companies and 80 additional high-growth startups. The selection is based on criteria such as exceeding €100 million in revenue or major fundraising achievements. The 2025 cohort, led by Mission French Tech head Julie Huguet, features 46 new entrants and includes 20 industrial companies investing in new factories. The selected companies generated nearly 10 billion euros in cumulative revenue, reflecting an average annual increase of 27%. The Next40 group includes 11 longstanding members who collectively employ 10,970 people. Greentech leads with 29 representatives, while deeptech accounts for a quarter of the list, supported by advances in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and cybersecurity. Notably, 35% of the laureates have integrated AI into their core offerings. The French Tech 120 label provides twelve months of support, including direct access to 60 administrative contacts, international visibility, and priority in the 'Je choisis la French Tech' initiative for networking with major corporations. French officials, including President Emmanuel Macron and Economy Minister Éric Lombard, have highlighted the program's role in supporting national innovation, economic sovereignty, and job creation.
