German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon reported third-quarter revenue of €3.70 billion, slightly below analyst estimates of €3.71 billion. The company posted a segment profit of €668 million, surpassing expectations of €597.7 million, with a GIP result margin of 14.2% versus the estimated 11.2% and a segment result margin of 18% compared to the forecasted 15.9%. Infineon maintained its full-year revenue guidance at approximately €14.6 billion, with a high-teens segment result margin expected. For the fourth quarter, the company anticipates revenue around €3.9 billion, slightly below analyst projections. Despite easing chip gluts, tariff uncertainties and soft demand, particularly in the Chinese automotive market, continue to temper recovery and investment plans. Siemens Energy reported third-quarter revenue of €9.75 billion, marginally above estimates of €9.73 billion, and profit before special items of €497 million, beating the expected €487.6 million. Orders surged to €16.61 billion, significantly exceeding the €12.51 billion forecast. The company projects comparable sales growth at the high end of its 13% to 15% range for the full year, driven by strong demand in the United States, which offsets tariff-related challenges. Siemens Energy expects to reach the upper end of its full-year guidance supported by increased orders for gas turbines and grid equipment. Siemens AG posted third-quarter industrial business profit of €2.82 billion, above the estimated €2.78 billion, with orders rising to €24.72 billion compared to the forecasted €21.72 billion. Revenue stood at €19.38 billion, slightly above the €19.37 billion estimate, reflecting a 5% comparable revenue growth against an expected 3.85%. The industrial business margin held steady at 14.9%. Strong demand for rail products helped offset a decline in the software segment. Siemens confirmed its 2025 outlook, noting that the weaker dollar had a drag effect on overall results but maintained confidence in meeting annual targets.
