“Oh god, I think hit the grandstand.” Johnson Wagner took the name Calamity Corner literally. 😅 https://t.co/9W1NWlBzfK
Golf Channel analyst and three-time PGA Tour winner Johnson Wagner sent a tee shot into the grandstands while filming a preview segment at Royal Portrush’s 236-yard par-3 16th hole, known as “Calamity Corner,” ahead of next week’s Open Championship. The mis-hit ball startled spectators but caused no reported injuries. Wagner immediately apologized, later telling colleagues, “Of all the shots I’ve hit in my days that one is probably the most embarrassing.”
