David Lipsky produced a late surge at the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic on Sunday, holing an eagle putt on the par-5 17th after a 247-yard approach that stopped eight feet from the flag. The shot lifted the 36-year-old American into a share of the lead as he walked to the 18th tee at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. A birdie at the closing hole would give Lipsky his first PGA Tour victory. Play remained in progress at the time of the update.
