ETHTrustFund, a project on the Base network, has reportedly executed a rug pull, resulting in investor losses amounting to approximately $2 million. The stolen funds include 477 ETH and $488,000 worth of BRETT tokens. The scammers have swapped all BRETT tokens to ETH, bridged the funds to the Ethereum network, and laundered them via Tornado Cash and Railgun. The incident has been confirmed by multiple security alert systems, including PeckShield, Cyvers, and CertiK. The stolen funds were traced to a GnosisSafe address and included 3.22 million BRETT tokens. The project is being labeled as an exit scam.
