Actress Olivia Munn revealed that her mother, Kim Munn, was diagnosed with Stage 1 HER2 breast cancer two years after Olivia herself was diagnosed with Luminal B breast cancer in 2023. Olivia shared that her mother underwent treatment for the disease and has faced the diagnosis with bravery. The diagnosis came after Kim Munn took the Tyrer-Cuzick breast cancer risk assessment, the same test Olivia credits with saving her life. Olivia disclosed the news publicly in July 2025, more than a year after announcing her own breast cancer diagnosis in March 2024. The actress expressed a wish that she could have taken on the battle for her mother.
