The Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2025, held from April 6 to 9 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre's Hall 5BCDE, has attracted over 50,000 participants. The event features nearly 40 thematic forums and over 400 speakers from global tech, finance, security, and entertainment sectors. Key discussions include Web3 regulation, artificial intelligence (AI), decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), real-world assets (RWA), and crypto-finance. Panels and keynotes have addressed institutional crypto finance, AI's integration into Web3, and decentralized technology advancements. The festival coincided with BNB Chain's MVB Season 9 accelerator launch, which selected 16 early-stage Web3 projects for a four-week program. The initiative focuses on product-market fit, financing strategies, and Web3 growth, culminating in an April 24 Demo Day. Industry leaders, including Binance's CZ and Vitalik Buterin, participated in the kickoff. Hong Kong's Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, reiterated the city's commitment to Web3 development, highlighting a balanced regulatory framework to ensure market integrity while fostering innovation. The government has issued licenses to 10 virtual asset trading platforms.
