Adani Power Ltd. said it has completed the ₹4,000-crore acquisition of Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd., taking ownership of a 600-megawatt coal-fired plant in Maharashtra. The deal, executed through an approved resolution plan, marks the formal transfer of all shares and operational control to the Adani group utility. With the transaction closed, Adani Power’s installed generation capacity rises to about 18,150 MW, reinforcing its position as India’s largest private-sector thermal power producer. The company said the asset will be integrated into its existing operational portfolio and is expected to strengthen power supply in the western region.
