The Adani Group announced plans to invest between $15 billion and $20 billion annually over the next five years to expand its businesses, focusing on infrastructure, energy, and green transition initiatives. Chairman Gautam Adani highlighted the conglomerate's strong financial position and robust business performance, including a 7% revenue growth in fiscal year 2025 and a net debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 2.6x. Adani Green Energy has surpassed 15,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity, marking the largest and fastest green energy build-out in India's history and positioning it among the world's top 10 green power producers. The company aims to reach 50 gigawatts (GW) of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030, with ongoing development of what could become the world's largest renewable energy plant. Additionally, Adani Power completed a ₹4,000 crore acquisition of a 600 MW Nagpur plant, boosting its total capacity to 18,150 MW and advancing its target to reach 30,670 MW by fiscal year 2030 through greenfield and brownfield expansions across six states. Separately, India has achieved a milestone by sourcing 50% of its installed electricity capacity from non-fossil fuel sources in 2025, five years ahead of its 2030 target. This milestone reflects a rapid expansion in renewable energy, with installed solar capacity growing from 2.82 GW in 2014 to over 116 GW in 2025. The achievement was credited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and was highlighted by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi as a key step in India's clean energy transition and climate goals.
