Zango AI emerges from stealth with $4.8M to revolutionise financial compliance systems with AI agents https://t.co/V6cthmuxWE https://t.co/ajEplJmHF3
AppsForBharat, the Bengaluru company behind the Hindu devotional platform Sri Mandir, has raised about $20 million in Series C funding led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, with continued support from Peak XV Partners, Elevation Capital and Nandan Nilekani’s Fundamentum. The four-year-old firm said the capital will fund logistics and service-fulfilment hubs across 20 temple towns, including Ayodhya and Varanasi, and accelerate the rollout of an AI assistant that guides users through rituals. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Prashant Sachan expects the expansion to create up to 1,000 local jobs as the company deepens links with temples and builds on demand from both domestic devotees and the Indian diaspora. In a separate deal, London-based Zango AI has emerged from stealth with a $4.8 million seed round led by Nexus Venture Partners. Zango’s regulation-aware AI agents already serve banks such as Portugal’s Novobanco and UK neobank Monzo, automating horizon scanning and real-time compliance checks. The funds will be used to grow engineering teams in London and Bengaluru, add product modules to its governance-risk-compliance suite and move into insurance and asset-management markets.
