boAt, an India-based audio company, has experienced a significant data breach affecting 7,528,986 of its customers. The breach, which occurred last month and was published on a clear web hacking forum last week, involved the personal details of approximately 75 lakh (7.5 million) users. The compromised data includes names, email addresses, physical addresses, and phone numbers. Notably, 42% of the affected records were already in the database of the website Have I Been Pwned. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of personal information and the increasing incidents of cyber attacks.
