The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have launched significant operations against cybercrimes and fraudulent schemes in India. The ED conducted a search operation in Kolkata focusing on the mobile gaming application E-Nuggets, following an FIR by the Park Street Police Station. Concurrently, the ED filed a Prosecution Complaint in New Delhi against Akoijam Deepa Anand and Narengbam Samarjit Singh under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. Meanwhile, the CBI carried out a nationwide search operation across 30 locations in 10 states, targeting a fraudulent investment scheme linked to the HPZ Token App, which misled the public into investing in a non-existent cryptocurrency.
