The FBI has captured Cindy Rodriguez Singh, one of its Ten Most Wanted fugitives, in a joint operation with Indian authorities. Rodríguez Singh, 38, was arrested in India and flown to the United States on 20 August 2025. She is accused of murdering her six-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez Alvarez, and faces state charges of capital murder of a person under 10 as well as a federal count of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Texas investigators began searching for the child in March 2023 after a welfare check in Everman revealed he had not been seen for months. Authorities say Rodríguez Singh lied about the boy’s whereabouts before leaving the United States on 22 March 2023 with her husband and six other children. An INTERPOL Red Notice was issued on 3 October 2024, and she was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list in July 2025. According to the FBI, the arrest was made possible through cooperation with Indian law-enforcement agencies and INTERPOL. FBI Director Kash Patel said the capture is the fourth arrest of a Top Ten fugitive since January and demonstrates that “justice has no borders.” Rodríguez Singh is being transferred to Texas authorities to face trial.
