A recent study conducted by Google in collaboration with Kantar India reveals that generative AI (GenAI) adoption in India is still in its early stages, with only 31% of Indians having tried any GenAI tools. The study also highlights that over 60% of the population remains unfamiliar with AI technology. Despite this, there is a strong interest in AI's potential to enhance creativity and productivity, with 75% of Indians expressing a desire for a daily growth partner powered by AI. Google DeepMind India Senior Director Manish Gupta emphasized AI's role in augmenting human potential, particularly in the Indian context.
